Race! Race! Race!
With all my mighty pace!
I see the finish line
Oh! You are mine!
In my world, I see all that’s mine
and yes, my kith and kin.
I see me smile
And I run, run and run the mile.
Suddenly, I stop and turn around
World mocks – hey you slowing down?
I see Them hobbling
Yearning etched in their eyes.
For the first time my Compass points Right
And my legs feel light.
I look into their eyes
And then at the heavenly skies.
I see a Road ahead
A longer one, lonely one,
Yet, the best I have ever known.
Life is not about the line
And all that’s supposedly mine.
Life is about walking with those who can’t run
Bringing Light to those that can’t see the sun.
My eyes locked into theirs, I point at the Path
I tell Them – Let’s Walk.
